Remember those zebras we were working on in 5th grade a few weeks ago? Here they are! I encouraged them to use analogous colors in each stripe, but I had a couple of students that wanted theirs to look realistic, so I let them use black instead.

Zebra surrealism in 5th grade
5th grade has been learning about abstract art and surrealism, so we've created these zebras with a closer view! We discussed the parts of the eye and drew them together, then we had a lesson on color as well before beginning the painting. The stripes will come later so check back when these are completed!
