We've started a new semester, which means a new group of art students! This is their first project so far this semester. We learned about blending with paint, and 7th and 8th explored more with background, midground, and foreground.

Weaving projects!
This is the first year I've done this project with my middle school students, and I was surprised at how much they got into it! I think they really enjoyed the weaving process so I'll definitely be doing this one again!
Some students got really creative and turned theirs into useful creations, like can koozies and bags!

Christmas trucks!
This was also a brand new project for 8th grade this year and one I can't wait to repeat in years to come. Students learned how to shade smoothly with paint, and where to put highlights and shadows to make the fenders stand out.
