I know there are a lot of examples on this post, but there were so many great ones, I had a difficult time choosing which ones to post! I could have posted them all! They are beautiful. We drew the abstract sun and waves, then used watercolors for the "warm colors" sunset and "cool color" waves. Last, we enhanced our paintings with colored pencil by adding simple designs to the waves and thickening our black outlines.
These are really beautiful! Very sophisticated for 4th grade!

DeleteI think they did a great job! Possibly my favorite 4th grade project from this year! :)
I love them! what did you use to do the designs? color pencils? crayons? and was it before or after painting them? Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHi Karla! Thanks for your comment! We used colored pencils after painting them! Good luck!

DeleteHello Mrs Crisco - Thanks for the inspiration to try one of these Abstract Suns! I did my Sun in color pencils and thickened the outlines with my Pentel Brush Pen.
